Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and working with Catalyst Global, and a team of Anglophone and Francophone African consultants, Propelevate completed an opportunity assessment to understand the potential of the private pharmacy sector to expand the reach and use of the HIV prevention medication, PrEP, in Africa. In each of the 18 prioritized countries, the team conducted desk research and key informant interviews with industry experts and representatives to understand the sector and players, to calculate potential reach of target groups through private pharmacies, and to identify key trends and insights to inform recommendations about the potential challenges and opportunities of private pharmacies for PrEP distribution to BMGF.

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a federation of 146 country organizations that provide sexual and reproductive health services and advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Propelevate facilitated the second phase of IPPF’s Niu Vaka strategy for the Pacific region. Propelevate conducted key informant interviews; designed and supported country-specific workshops; conducted a hybrid in-person and virtual workshop to support the larger regional team to envision their future trajectory, develop a region-wide theory of change and measurement framework; and drafted and revised a strategy document with feedback from country, regional and global leadership.

Frontline AIDS is a global partnership of nationally based governmental and non-governmental organizations which support 1,163 community organizations who promote HIV/AIDS issues across the world.

Propelevate worked with Frontline AIDS’ Climate Task Force to understand how climate change was impacting the HIV epidemic and those most impacted by HIV, and develop a strategic positioning on how the network should engage locally, nationally and globally in response. Propelevate authored an evidence brief, created Frontline AIDS’ Climate-HIV Framework to showcase how climate change is impacting HIV, and supported with donor and partner meetings.
