Selected Client: Frontline AIDS

Frontline AIDS is a global partnership of over 100 nationally based governmental and non-governmental organizations who promote HIV/AIDS issues in over 60 countries.

Propelevate worked with Frontline AIDS’ Climate Task Force to understand how climate change was impacting the HIV epidemic and those most impacted by HIV, and develop a strategic positioning on how the network should engage locally, nationally and globally in response. Propelevate conducted a literature review (of both published and grey literature), interviewed others working in similar spaces to understand external best practices, as well as network partners, to understand what challenges partners were already experiencing and responding to. Propelevate facilitated a series of internal workshops and discussions to help build consensus around what was most important and how to ensure alignment on priorities, goals and best practices, rooted in locally led responses. Propelevate created an HIV-Climate framework, and authored Frontline AIDS’ proposition paper, a climate-HIV evidence brief and partner snapshots showcasing what their network is already doing.
